Dual battery set up
Hi all, with the plan to fit the fbh timer i was thinking of adding a second battery. What options are there to install a second battery to supplement the main battery, I am not planning to fit an array of extras so just want to make the system work as one basically. Thx

Use a T-Max connected to a second battery in the empty box infront of the brake servo. Yellow Top battery seems to be the prefered option but I used an Odyssey.
I also put permanent 12v power to the reat to power my expedition fridge. Worked a treat. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

Hey Chris, if you’re not putting a second battery in to run “toys” what do you need it for? Bit of an expense to do if all you want to do is be able to jump start yourself, cheaper ways to do it. Any more detail would help us suggest the best build.
d3’s are built for an aux battery, if you take the cover off on the drivers side of the engine, that’s the battery box for left hand drive versions, so most fit the battery there, even has the screws for the battery clamp there and access to the cabin for wires.

Hi Guys, I also have a FF Range Rover and this has an FBH, even with a good battery in I have to plug it into a charger to top up the battery every week or so as we don’t do many long journeys so the fbh is quite a drain. Just thinking with the disco having the aux battery space it would help to have a second battery. Thinking perhaps of running a wire straight to the fbh and powering it off the second battery.
