Air con is not starting
Hi,
In the last week air con stopped working on my Disco 3, so bring the car to re-gas it. It was low on gas and it was re charged. But, after I took the car it is still not working and it is blowing hot air. Rear pipes are blanked, so no standard leak from there. I've noticed on a 30 minutes drive without touching the buttons (auto by default), AC kicked in for 2-3 minutes, then stopped for 10 and started again for 2-3 mins. So, the problem shouldn't be the buttons on the central console.

Seems odd there's no fault code
Could be the transducer is malfunctioning, or one of the temp sensors. Keep using it on full fan with temp set to zero and see if it will throw a code.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Edit - got my maths wrong.
System pressure reads 31 bar which is high. Does your viscous fan work ok?

To much gas can cause issues.
Could be something is overheating and kicking a/c off?
I have had a jingly jangly noise under my car for weeks now, yesterday jingly jangly noise turned in cruchy wunchy as air con comp seized up and spat off the drive plate!
No codes and all signals seemd okay before starting engine.

It's in the high pressure line next to the service coupler l/h side.
As has been noted above, and I missed earlier is the high pressure reading. Over gassing will prevent the correct operation of the pressure transducer! (amongst other things)yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I think the gas should be fine. I had confirmation it has 550 gr as rear is blanked.Thanks,

31bar is not normal, around 29-30bar is usually the max safety cutout on the majority of automotive air conditioning systems so it is extremely high. You have either a blockage in the system, no condenser cooling, non condensables in the system due to poor practice by your ac guy or a faulty pressure transducer. Since it does work for a brief time I’d considered condenser cooling which is why I asked does your viscous fan work ok.
Really it needs the a/c gauges connecting and checking over properly.

Hi,
Looks like above I uploaded a wrong picture, when A/C is off. The one in the first post is when the the plug from transducer is removed. Here are the pictures from today and as well have some faults.

As Nc1989 has pointed out the pressure is too high, and your fault code B1B78-85 is telling you this also!
Have it professionally de-gassed and refill the correct amount. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
