Top is first check with no starts with ctek on all night(but disconnected
Testing immediately after taking the charger off will give very optimistic results, 2 or more hours delay is better. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Reversed Disco drove forward turning steering wheel (a lot) parked in garage and no warning lights. Checked my mark on plastic ring and it was in the same place .So drove to pay the government more money in fuel tax and returned (with much turning of steering wheel) and mark is still in the correct place.
So have decided to put under dash back and see what happens. I carry the code reader in the car so can reset the angle at the side of the road if needed. If it happens again it will be column out and will try to use Bondic to create some lugs to prevent it turning. But what a stupid design.
darrind you have double trouble having a Disco 4 as well.
I'm the wrong shape and age to try and stick in situ
My next thing is to change the battery as this one must be 6-7 years old now and replaced it's predecessor at approx 6 years old.
Thanks all for the assistance.

Sorry M3DPO forgot your question on Ctek chargers. I have a Multi XS7000 that just went dead while it was tending an AGM CARAVAN BATTERY, no lights on front panel and no output. The other one I have is a MULTI XS 3600 that one, if I remember correctly, would light up but wouldn't move out of standby. I did have another but that went into the bin with, I think, the same problem as the XS3600. I have 5 others so I hope they don't die on me.

All gone haywire on the steering angle sensor again so column is coming out. Anyone know if the electrically operated column will come through the hole in the strengthening panel or does it have to be removed? If it has to be removed anyone got the secret of how to remove without taking the centre reinforcing panel and part of the centre consul half out. Losing the will to live on this job.
