Does anybody know a reason, that a brand new AMK compressor would be a dead short.
Basically my compressor died last weekend, so we limped it home, And I ordered the new parts etc.
Fitted the compressor, and it blew the 60a fuse, (I think as soon as ignition turned on, but it took me a bit of diagnosing to find the blown fuse), replaced the fuse, blew it again.
Removed the compressor, and the power adaptor lead, is melted. Used an bench power supply and creative use of screwdrivers, and a clamp meter to feed power straight to the compressor, and it's a dead short.
Anybody any thought?

Yes it's going back, guess I was just unlucky, and not an indicator of any further problems.
