I am on the old system still.
I think I had it done with Extra Care, but it’s best to check your policy book.
It specifies everything that’s covered

Had mine done by my indie . D4 72k 8yr old and only starting to go, not an MOT failure this year but would be next year. So just got it done for I think £300, supplied and fitted. GKN as well
Central Prop shaft bearing excessively worn (6.1.7 (b) (i))
No symptoms, 44.5k miles, never towed & only gentle off-road use when shooting.
I'm surprised that it has failed so soon.

Mine went at 5 years old and 33,000 miles. Only road driving. There was a report of goodwill from LR. Might be worth giving it try.Gary

Mine had to be replaced last September for its 2nd MOT, only done 11,798 miles, luckily it was covered under my WD warranty.

Mine is about to fail now, noticed a tear in the centre bearing whilst changing fluids. Anyone else tried Highlands Sika trick? Will it last? Or is it too late seen as how there's already a tear in it?

I think this is worth trying. I recently replaced mine with a GKN complete rear propshaft, and the rubber support looks pretty flimsy, like the original, and doesn’t look like it will last at all. So if it does fail at a ridiculously low mileage, I will be supporting it centrally whilst applying a large amount of sika flex all around it Bear in mind though, if the propshaft rear u/j is worn or “notchy” (as mine was after 94k miles) replacement of the complete assy is probably the best bet.D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.

Probably just as well buying a new one, the car has done 154k now, and as far as I know the propshaft is the original one.
BUT I think I'll beef up that support, as it is the weak point and ridiculously flimsy.
Sika to the rescue!
