Isn't that one of the complaints about the D5 - and indeed the whole LR range? That they're "premium" rather than the more down to earth vehicle that the D3 was.
And having tried a few now, I agree with those who say the middle row of seats don't provide sufficient support to the thighs. Indeed, they feel a bit, er, thin and cheap. It doesn't feel like a premium family vehicle, technology and USB ports notwithstanding. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Oh, I see. Not allowed an opinion based on experience now, is that it? Does other people not liking your beloved D5 upset you?

parked next to a D5 for first time on Sunday ... hadn't realised it was smaller than the D4. when I've noticed them on the road, they hadn't stuck me as being smaller. Perhaps this one was in access mode ?

This is a reserved area for D5 owners to indulge their justifications and generally make themselves feel good again; a sort of gateway drug before making the full leap to disco5 and a useful exercise in self help
Best not to spoil the healing atmosphere by reintroducing all of those nagging doubts 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

No, it’s an area where jealous D3/4 owners can look at a D5 with their noses pressed hard against the window and then kid on they don’t want one by inventing short comings.

That’s quite an accolade, surprising it has beaten the FFRR though. A couple of weeks ago we went up to a big dressage event in Bedfordshire, going around the M25 it almost felt there were as many D5s as D4s and certainly a lot more of them than Velars. Sorry, I should have added “indulge their justifications and fantasies”. Thanks for pointing that shortcoming out and giving me a chance to correct it 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
