No, it’s an area where jealous D3/4 owners can look at a D5 with their noses pressed hard against the window and then kid on they don’t want one by inventing short comings.

Indeed alternatively it could just be that it ignites absolutely zero interest in a lot of people that were previously almost illogically interested in LR's ? I would probably put myself amongst that group and even if money was no object; wouldn't even consider a D5 purely on what it looks like - regardless of how great a vehicle it is and theeeeennn......???

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

In any fairness, this is a section set aside for the partially sighted to talk about their favourite car. We shouldn’t mock

^^ thats a bit cheeky RM, as buying a D3 was, at the time, miles away from what a D2 was. And whats with the "car" crap - if that's the case I'll stick with my "car" and you are welcome to your truck/tractor

Ok, so some of you in the dark ages might not like some of the D5's "features" but here's one you probably wish you did have:
yes that does say avg 50mpg. Ok it still lies by about 3 mpg like the D4 did, but even with that I'll take 47mpg any day (and I didnt buy it for its economy). Its getting better as I put a few miles on it

Al
I don’t think I said anything about “cars” the D3 was a great progression from the D2. But, if people thought that it looked like a Transit (Disco’s have always looked like a van anyway), at least it didn’t look like it was more closely related to an Astramax van
