Just fit D3 rear lights, no ones going to nick them surely!
ISTR I had to virtually give away the 2 sets I had. Each light was worth less than a couple of coffees from Starbuckies.

These work well, but a bit expensive in solicitors fees

Why does that remind me of a police dog ,
As when I go out in the early hours with candy there’s sometimes Kent police walking the dogs , inc sometimes coming up from Sussex

After reading this thread, today I just screwed in some Philips number plate screws along with their matching number plate black bases with attached overcaps (I already had in the shed).
Not ideal, but the caps would need to be pried off to access the screws, and that should be a bit more difficult to do with the tailgate closed....... especially as I don't live in Kent.

Fishing weights work well, the split shot type just gently tap one in the head of each screw.

Screws turned up already
I’ll just spray all the caps black

Just ordered some of those screws off eBay seeing as this seems to be the latest thing to add to the long list of things worry about with Disco ownership
Wouldn't it be great if people just stopped nicking stuff.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

The scum that are nicking D4 lights are probably the suppliers of these anti theft screws.
What a novel way of creating demand for your product.

Ordered 48hrs ago from the link. Now fitted. If the scumbags really want them I’m sure they will get them off but every little helps I suppose.

Was this resolved in the D4.5? I ask because I have bolts holding my rear lights in rather than screws. Should I still replace them?

Sadly the market is probably fueled by all the wannabes who want their D3 to look like a D4.
Tamperproof Torx will only be a fix for a short period of time as they will go armed with them too. You can buy them in screwdriver format with long thin shafts even in Halfords so it's not much of a deterrent.IID PRO

I don’t see how the hex head helps guys. I have a full set of skinny hex drivers just like screwdrivers. If it’s common knowledge I suppose the b ds will just use them.
