that is true, but I can assure you they wont help. I have tried, recently. As have many others. Their policy seems to be politely invite you to send them a tonne of information, old service history - so they can analyse the claim.
And then turn it down. 2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

They checked out my tow bar last year free of charge, and washed it.
They also sorted me out a locking wheel key in the past because a garage lost mine on a tyre change. but at least they let me try different ones that a mechanic had before I ordered my own key.
They are more helpful than you give them credit for (at times)
Nothing to lose than asking.

I'm not saying they aren't helpful on occasion, but on this specific issue they have been less than helpful...squared. Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

If you cannot afford the repair can you just suck the oil out of the servo and carry on using the car until you can afford to get it done?

My concern with that much oil in the servo could be that it will be getting at the seals in the master cylinder which should they fail would result in no brakes at all. Personally I would not be wanting to drive the vehicle.

Make sure your EPB is functional!
THey are very good apparently. It Use both the shoes and hydrallics, so providing you don't need to steer, feel free to use in an emergency.
I think the hydrallics should still work, even with a poor servo. Be sure to Let us know

I have sucked it out, well as much as I can. Brakes seem fine for normal use and the odd harder application. It’s the prick pulling out in front of you at 50mph braking I have less confidence in.
I wonder what would happen if a serious accident happened because of this issue, would you be liable even if you didn’t know? Would VOSA or the police have things to say to LR for seemingly ignoring a major safety concern?

My FIL has very kindly offered to pay for all the parts (servo, vac pump, master cylinder and pipe work) to fix this.
I honestly don’t think in my current health condition I’m capable of doing the work myself, well not the vac pump anyway.
Does anyone know the rough book time and cost to have the parts fitted. I’ve seen reports of a full days work, which at £65-70 an hour labour still hurts.

Hi, a related question. How do you quickly stop an automatic Discovery 3 if the brakes fail when there's no handbrake?

Pull the epb switch up
And hold it up I think.
It will use 2 braking systems to stop the car.

If you hold on the EPB switch it will put on the service brakes using the ABS modulator and then apply the EPB at standstill . If its a broken brake pipe, ie no service brakes it will apply the EPB.
