Replacing coolant Tank

OK, so it was very clear that my occasional 'Low Coolant' warning had nothing to do with actual low coolant levels and everything to do with the float on the switch !
I've now got a new tank but wondered whether there were any tips / tricks to replacing it. Most of it looks straightforward except the bottom hose which looks a real b*****d to undo and clamp off easily. So please pretty please to all you gentlefolk who've tackled this job, any pointers. Very gratefully received Thumbs Up
