@NJSS

thanks, i can do that, BUT... i just want to know how Engine fitters ltd Barking are Wink

one of the reasons is they offer a recondition from the basic engine, including removal and fitting in the D3 for 3 grand in total (ex VAT)
we can speculate on the quality, but since one of "us" has firstline experience for a year now, i like to know what that experience is..

second, I am located in The Netherlands.. Barking is not far from Harwich or the Tunnel, Area Birmingham although..... a little bit further down the road..
 Best regards
Harold

Well lads, the truth is I sold it in February. Was running fine, but saw a V8 D3, and being a small boy at heart went for it. The engine was running fine. In the back of my head I wished I had gone somewhere that would give me 100% confidence like Oval autos, but took the risk. The new owner must have put on private plates, as I can no longer trace it on mot checker.

What I can say about engine fitters is that they were quick, sent photos of the process and let you walk around the workshop showing you what they were up to. They had lots of vehicles being worked on and were getting through them. What I can’t say is how long it lasted.

Sorry it isn’t the info you need.

Andy
