I started having instrument cluster issues. If I get another cluster from breakers, what needs to be done - VIN coded from car or? Can SDD do it?

The replacement cluster will keep it mileage so find one with the same or lower mileage.
It may be easier to send your original cluster to Totaltronics and get it repaired. Andrew

I`m not in UK, sending for repair is not an option. I have been told connecting another instrument cluster to my car will immobilise it and then its recovery truck option only.

I've just had the rear fuel pump belt replaced. Now I have just a slight flicker on the speedometer needle illumination, visible only at night obviously.
I guess I need to go remake the connections of the connectors in that vicinity.
Grrrrr.......more work😒
