Are you sure Dean?
Discos 1 to 4 are very distinctive, they stand apart from the crowd in traffic and in car parks. The 5 is far more anonymous, resembling many other modern SUVs.
I've, knowingly, seen 5 (apart from courtesy vehicles at Gatcombe Park Horse Trials) but wonder how many I've missed because they don't stand out.

However what worries me is looking at the various posts about the D5, what happens when the new Defender appears? Will we see protests outside the factory?
We will see a load of enthusiasts who have no intention of buying the car and moaning on Internet forums
The D5 is a lovely car inside, lovely to drive but the styling does nothing for me
Add in the cost/options, and it's a very expensive car
Me, I'll be waiting until the Defender comes out. If that does nothing for me, I'll be looking at a petrol RRS/Velar once they become slightly more affordable My D3 Build Thread

I really hope they don't sort out that stupid looking rear numberplate. When one goes past on the Mway a glance in the rear mirror sorts out the "is it, isn't it?" mental discussion. Not seen many at all, even in the SE, plus I know of one locally but a big increase in RRS2s doing the school run.
Problem LR will be facing is it has, to be kind, questionable looks, SWMBO thinks more pig ugly but I didn't say that. Apart from the few that buy with a tick-box approach, fewer peeps will buy an ugly car in their own mind. It might be fab off-road but that means nothing to prob 90% of buyers. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole if I was in the market. It has an engine that snaps cranks like someone snaps a twiglet at a New Year party, it will have the same reliability, and the same shocking attitude to customers of both JLR and many of their dealers. No thanks, if I get the "go on then" from SWMBO, which is unlikely, I'd be off to the Skoda, VW or Volvo dealers.

Yeah, if there was one place you'd expect to see the latest Land Rover, the Land Rover car park of a major equestrian event in the Cotswolds would be it.
