Had erg blanked after second egr failure two months after the first.
Software patch added and also had it tuned. About a month after that sluggish acceleration and black smoke. I changed the turbo hose for a silicone one, but even after cutting the old hose open I couldn't find a fault but it cured the problem.
That was a year ago and I've been impressed with the improvement in power and fuel consumption. Just had first very long run with two people and most of the houes in the boot to Scotland dash showing 36.1 mpg and got 34 mpg at the pump.
