Road testing Aldi (17p) and CafePods (20p) too, so far CafePods are acceptable at 20p a cup Mr. Green

Surely its best to use the nespresso pods while your paying the subscription?

It works if you are spending that (or roughly) on Nespresso capsules, like what I am. If you're like DG and just have an old t-spoon in a jar of Mellow Birds, or the Lidl equiv, then it might not work that well. Thumbs Up

But if you're buying the coffee anyway (well someone has to keep George Cloony in the manner etc) it doesn't make any difference. You just get a machine for £1. And you buy coffee capsules as normal. Whistle

I can see it would work over the 3 yrs, but really CBA, buy the machine (well source it Wink ) then just get the pods, need to check if our stationary supplier has them, I have a feeling they might Whistle

Same concept of printers, pull 'em in with a cheap machine and rake it in with the ink supply.

I've had a Nespresso machine for years, but got one of the cheapest ones in this offer (that only cost about £90 if bought) for use in the tintent and if we have lots of guests (ie using 2 in tandem).

IMO the only reason not to take up the offer would be if you can get capsules of good coffee elsewhere at significantly less than the Nespresso prices. I've tried loads and most are not as good. The ones that are as good (eg Marks') only save a few pennies anyway.

Any of anyone dithering on doing the machine for £1 malarkie, that offer is limited to 1,000 machines. Now how's that for ramping up the pressure. And no, I'm not really George Clooney. Laughing Laughing Thumbs Up

And it arrived 30 minutes ago. 12 South Australian, 12 South American and 12 from the good old USofA.

I got a couple of these in a similar cheap offer a couple of years back. Repeated dishwasher use has stripped all the nice external colour off, they're just plain SS now.

Indeed, but the standard pricing is £200+ for the machine and 31p per capsule and with the subscription it is £1 for the machine and 31p per capsule. So if you can accept 31p per coffee rather than the high street's £2+ per coffee then this is a good deal.

The slight difference with printers is the quoted page capacity per cartridge bears no resemblance to what you actually get. I've switched to an HP ink subscription so have a fixed per page cost and no bouts of rage when buying yet more cartridges.

Ah, the colour has evolved during your ownership. It is a feature rather than a fault.
