They ARE bigger here in the PRK than almost anywhere else. Laughing Particularly the LA Beavers (aka Britney Spears). :rolllaugh:

I'll shoot almost anything that's legal. I hunt big game in the fall, mostly pigs here in the PRK. I'm also known to go to Wyoming for Deer and Antelope, but did not go in 07.

In the spring it's varmints. First week of June I'll take my vehicle to Montana for prairie dogs for 9 days! I plan on writing an article for this, and submit it to the various LR magazines out there.

For bear, I use a .308 Winchester. The rifle in the picture is a Steyr Scout rifle in .308. Scope is a Schmidt and Bender 1.5-6x42. Here in the PRK, these are smaller black bears, not grizzlies.

For varmints I use a .17 HMR for close range , and .223 Rem for long range shooting.

Quick Trip to Europe

Haven't done anything as exciting as mrmarklin but traveled from Hereford to Germany, Good journey except for a run in with a Censored Belguim Registered Audi A8 driven by a complete Censored head. Who decided sitting behind me Flashing his headlights at me would get me to move over quicker for him Evil or Very Mad , not realising that i had no where to pull over to he had to wait and he didn't appreciate me pulling out behind him and giving him the benefit of my presence. Scratched the living cr@p out of my D3 yesterday doing a recce for some greenlaning in N Dorset/S Wilts. Wilts CC seem to have put a blanket Voluntary Closure on the "safe" lanes just before Christmas while leaving the metal-shredding mud pits that DO need closing well and truly open. Clueless rambling-obsessed f Censored kwits Rolling Eyes

Still, had 2 hours of pleasant laning before I got to the route that killed my paintwork. Typically, the first 3/4 mile was fine, it was just a 100 yard section that wasn't going to let me go without paying in paint and there was no way to turn around and head back. Reversing 2 vehicles for 3/4 of a mile wasn't really an option Big Cry

Pics to follow in due course.....

Next time I see big clumps of ivy at the side of a trail I'll get out and inspect it before it turns my car into a piece of modern art, not after Rolling Eyes Not that I could have done a lot about it without power tools. Should have taken the pole saw, hedge trimmer and chainsaw Big Cry

too cold to fire up the jetwash without turning the drive into an ice rink so the scratches remain for now. Rolling Eyes Will post some "after" shots once I've done a panel or two. Big Cry
