Ive had my D3 for just over 2 years...

I usually put on the park brake when at lights and let go the foot brake.

This evening, I had my first Park Brake Fault, which was a bit of a shock for me, and also the chap in front who had 2.7 tonnes nudge his bumper a 1mph.

No visable damage to the D3, but a few bits popped off the rear of the Golf.

So thats a big moan to LR then in the morning, but I bet they won't foot the bill for the Golf !!

Waiting for LRA to come out and have a look at mine...
..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

a D3 can pull 4 tons of motor home out of the mud

i was chairman of the north west regional meet for the camping and caravaning club this last week end and had the first oppertunity to try out the D3 in all be it small amounts of mud, but what put the permagrin well and truly back on my face was when i had to pull a 4 ton motor home out of the mud he had got stuck in and all this done on pirrelli zero's very impressed with the car as it never spun a wheel even though it was in mud its self Laughing if it wasn't for the wear rate then i would probably stick with thes tyres. Very Happy

Sooooome people might say their car's stuck in a rut
but I'm quite happy-y-y, because mine's not
some people might say they hate my 4x4
but I'm so happy I can't see their point

Something's happening here today
A cry for tax from th Pious brigade
I'm not so happy that you're so blind
You claim it's green money, that you really don't mind
To buy climate change textbooks for brainwashing crimes

And the public gets what the public wants
But I want nothing this society's got
I'm driving muddy ground (driving muddy ground)
Cos my Disco 3 can, and it makes me so proud
Driving muddy ground (driving muddy ground)
Well let the Prius boys scream and the Greens all shout for tomorrow

Some people might get some pleasure out of hate
Me? I've enough already on my plate
People might need some tension to relax
Me? I'm too busy dodging between the flak

What you see is what you get
You've bought your toy car, now your stuck in it
You choose your car though you suspect it's not just
As their lies wash you down and your Toyota rusts
You'll see petrol sites covered in windmills not pumps

And the public gets what the public wants
But I want nothing this society's got
I'm driving muddy ground (driving muddy ground)
Cos my Disco 3 can, and it makes me so proud
Driving muddy ground (driving muddy ground)
Well let the Prius boys scream and the Greens all shout for tomorrow

We talk and talk until my head explodes
I turn on the news and my body froze
The braying greens on my TV screen
Make this boy shout, make this boy scream!

Driving muddy ground!
I'm driving muddy ground!

Sorry Mr Weller sir Embarassed

Had a classic moment with a Prius and their occupants on Wednesday afternoon - I pulled up at a set of lights not far from Buckingham Palace and a Prius pull up to the right of me - both his windows were down and it looked like there was a dad and 9 year old boy sat in the two fron seats. My window was open too. I turned to look at it and saw BOTH of them staring at my D3 with a "I wish I/my dad had one of those" looks. Unfortunately the lights went to green (and I "sand-mode'd" him) before I had chance to say to the lad "I bet you wish your dad had bought one of these" Laughing Laughing

Rolling with laughter Bow down Bow down Nice one Steve Thumbs Up

I actually washed mine last night; got a meeting with my accountant at lunchtime and figured he wouldn't appreciate getting filthy on the way to the pub Shocked First time it's had a proper wash since before Boughrood. Also did a DG and cleaned out the compressor housing, which was full of cack.

Will give it a polish tomorrow 8) m and then get it nice and muddy again on Tuesday, if I don't go out for a play before then.
