Drove to my first clay shoot today including a bit across a harvested corn field. Nothing extreme but the D3 didn't put a foot wrong.
My shooting on the other hand... Let's just say thoroughly average. D3 HSE TDV6 Auto. Bonatti Grey.

Towed the horsebox to a cross-country event in Fife, where my niece did a clear round and finished 8th in her class. Fantastic weather: 21 degrees.
Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.

Took a trip up the Dale to Moorcock Show. Discoveries were in the minority, but it was good to see a overwhelming proportion of Land Rover vehicles around the place.

Having a short hiatus while I decide what I'm going to do next. Looking to possibly jump ship to a Defender 110 whilst I still can - D4 has just got silly money
If someone sees a 2008MY SE Auto with ONLY 66,000 miles (reg DE57YNK) come up at auction and is interested, PM me and I'll give you the 'full' low downSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Waited for Land Rover Assistance as the alternator had fried itself. They were very quick (30 mins), got the disco started and battery charged enough to get to Guy Salmon. Hire car all arranged by the technician.
Well done to LR Assistance, but then I suppose they get lots of practice!!!!!!Jeffers

Swift drive down to Dover, ferry to Dunkirk, then on to Belgium for a few beers and plant buying weekend. The old girl made short work of the journey, and my travelling companions who had only previously been in my D2 were shocked what a quite and smooth a ride it is==================================

Grew up in Upper Largo so thought it was about time I showed the missus where I had some of the best times...
Have a sneaking feeling that I won't be able to play spiderman up the side of Largo House though. Mainly due to my middle bit expanding, hips creak and the head of youthfulness being replaced by the head of "that is going to hurt when it goes wrong"
Remember the RC museum opening and mum taking us there for some education.
Will be keeping an eye out for the D3 stickers Series 2a V8 killed it

I've got cousins still in Upper Largo " Traill family"
But anyway today I've fitted new discs and pads,to the rear.
Just ordinary size as I've had them a while and will make it easier to remove when I decide on the v8 rears
But ran out of time to fit this
