put the Mantec plate on and then on the way back from somewhere else had a little local detour and a little paddle at Bucklebury ford, much to the bemused looks of a few onlookers....
not sure this marker is that accurate..
don't take a wrong turn!

not quite up to TFC @ Salisbury standards but the three under 10's onboard enjoyed it! I had to go through it 12 times to clean out the mud from underneath out honest! and theeeeennn......???

Me and a mate found a great free 4x4 site to play on today, had it all to ourselves apart from a few motocrossers a bit later on. Absolutely brilliant spot, grass, mud, steep inclines deep mud and water, everything a 4x4 nutter could wish for. We should organise a meet here for all the Yorkshire guys or anyone else who may like to travel.
Apparently it does get pretty busy on a Sunday as there is a local 4x4 club that use the site every now and then.
We didn't get into too much deep mud as neither of us had a tow rope or winch between us, but there are plenty of places to get stuck if you are prepped up for the challenge.
we had a superb couple of hours and the kids loved it too, more pics in my gallery. The site is close to Royston, Barnsley.
Hmmm, now there's a plan for a random day off work...
Could you tell us where it is? PM me if you prefer to keep it exclusive

No problem, would like to get some more guys to come along too, should be fun, if you fancy a venture, the site is between Royston and Shafton and the "entrance" is on Sandybridge Lane S72 9?? If you look on Google Earth it is pretty obvious, it really is a huge 4x4 playground!!

today we had a come and try day on the edge of town, and a bit of mud.
lots of washouts etc and here the fearless group leader unexpectedly found a hidden one $5 to anyone who knows what the bloke in the white shirt is up to

Chocolate,
Didn't notice a spare wheel for the Ranger lying about did you ? Seems it may have dropped out of cradle when we were bowling about over site, either that or some toerag has nicked it on Sunday night

No, toerags have had it. neighbour called asking why his 'old' wheel was in her garden.
He went round and found an old Ranger steel wheel with a punctured tyre. Seems they must have had puncture locally and then nicked his spare while car was parked on street. bastrads
