Found dead headlight washers and Hi tone horn.
Ordered hi tone horn last night, today checked all washer based fuses. Engine compartment and internal storage both ok.... !
Look on You Tube for sequence of removing bumper to get at damn washer bottle and tubing, realise this involves headlights, bumper, and wheel arch trim
Many screws later ... took off the tubing to the bottle and blew down it to be met with resistance. Ah-hah! blocked tubes, unclipped it all and found that the junction connector is actually a sprung valve
Removed inner wheel arch liner to get at the ruddy washer pump! Removed and tested it... yup dead....... put everything back.... 2 screws left over
Washer pump ordered Dave

Front lower N/S suspension ball joint.
Advisory: Steering rack inner (bush/joint) excessive play
All were sorted at the same time and at the "re-test" guy looked under the chassis as it was on their carpark and printed me a new certificate. 5min job!!!
MOT passed with no problem. No advisories!!
Happy Days!!

Fixed roof draining outlet. Took side vent and moulding and cut star rubber outlet. Then I have cleaned gunk inside and water erupted like a waterfall. Poured some water on the roof drain and it was draining out very nicely. Happy day. Tomorrow will try doing other side.
Adjusted sky shooting screen washers and now they actually wash something.
I'm pleased

Just back from a Aircon re-gas....was completely empty as I have a tiny leak in the condenser He‘s an aircon specialist, so he offered to bung some stuff in to try and stop the leak and see how that works.
Anyway, managed to get the inside down to 3.6 degree‘s, so it‘s now 8)
Fingers crossed it gets me through the summer.
On a post note, told me to drive it for 30 mins with the aircon on, so just been for a lovely blast on country roads, made me realise how much I love the car (Although it still depresses me at times with all the costs )
Cheers

2 days ago I cleaned roof O/S drain pipe.
Yesterday I have done the N/S - only took 3.5 hours to finish
My mate pulled the drain pipe when corner inner pillar trim was off in the cabin and drain outlet from wheel arch disappeared somewhere between panels too close to electrics below. Too close for comfort. And hose at this time wasnt even drined/clean.
We had to remove hose from inside completely together with hose drain outlet which was in the wheel arch. At that point we cleaned the hose and 30cm of gunk came out from it. That would never be cleaned by rodding from roof or blowing with air compressor!!
THEN we have threaded wire from inner pillar down to the wheel arch and after 1.5h of ..... bruised hands and cuts managed to push hose up the wire to the cabin from wheel arch. Connected the hose to plastic roof drain at the headlining level. Fixed wheel arch in to its place. Attached mud flap. Put the wheel on AND I have realised it was pitch black . Done and dusted!!! Today I have to fit N/S pillar trim as couldn't be asked last night.
PLEASE don't tell me there is an easier way of fixing it

After 7 years, it's easy to take the Disco for granted but every now and then you get reminded.
Yesterday needed to get 1/2 ton of stone across kids' school playing field. Entrance to the field is through a narrow, angled gateway up a steep grass bank with an expensive and not very tough running track at the top. And it's pouring with rain and the grass is like ice.
Low 2nd, grass-gravel, suspension normal height. Hoof it through the gate then back off and let the momentum take it over the top. Not even the slightest trace of wheelspin and not a mark on the grass or running track. D3s are amazing
