Years ago, audi tried to sell their original quattro with the implication that nothing could unstick it.....As we all know , the laws of physics are LAWS and cannot be broken...3 tons sliding sideways at 60mph has a sh*tload of inertia and I don't fancy it if there is anything unforgiving in the way!

Yes, good but not invincible. I lost it momentarily during the very heavy downpours we had early Nov. I was on a Dual Carriageway took a gradual RH bend at around 60mph and aquaplaned sideways for [what seemed like ages but was only] a split second. taught me a bit of a lesson - still have not felt at great ease as of yet!!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Nightmare Gulch
I had the great pleasure of running my LR3 through Nightmare Gulch here in Southern California. We had a diverse collection of Rovers, from a 1957 Series II, to a 1970's Defender 130, the usual assortment of D90's, Disco's, Classics's, and two LR3's.
Had to park it on school field whilst visiting eldest son's school this morning! I can honestly say that the capability of this vehicle is amazing. It just effortlessly climbed up the kerb, across the pavement and onto the soft, squishy mud, where I was able to park it next to a Mondeo! Back in the game!

Had a day off work today, and went crimbo shopping in centre of Manchester. I don't normally ever go near the centre, so I took my D3 into town.
I have to say I was very impressed with the traffic flow, except for Deansgate, it was easy. Parked in Victoria station car park, no height restriction £5.60 all day.
Driving the D3 in a busy city centre is so much easier than in a small car. Some may say its arrogant, but smaller cars do get out of the way! Stick that where the sun don't shine Anti.4x4 Terrorists

Joshua Tree
Last week a couple of LR3 owners from my area took a day trip out to Joshua Tree National Monument, up through Berdoo Canyon into Paradise Valley, to Squaw Tank and then over the Old Dale mining district with the Brooklyn Mine Jeep Trail as our final destination.
