Spent yesterday morning travelling to the big smoke, total journey time 1 hr 45 mins.
Left the office at 15:30 in the rain and didn't get home till 19:00 - 3.5 hours!
Even got bored of finding the big puddles to splash through whilst every other on the road decided they were going to slow down and move to the middle.
Now i'm gonna get the car ready for the missus in the morning as she's taking the hound to Three Counties.

Took collection of a new disco yesterday..and after driving home in it and seeing an average of 8.4 l/100 km was very thrilled until i came upon traffic on the M1...that dropped to 14.5....so took it out this moring for a test drive got it back down to 9.4l/100 km after some slow (50 mph) driving..but there was a strong cross wind..trying to figure the car out....

I had connected my mobile phone to the AUX input and it's working perfectly as a MP3 player and a hands-free. the sound is GREAT with no noise at all.

On Friday Towed Trailer from Bournemouth to Machester dropped off two large cylinder heads.
Proceeded to Blackburn and collected a Gardner 8LXB engine in bits.
Drove back home to Bournemouth. 640 miles in total. 29.6 MPG on way up and 27.8 MPG on way back with trailer and engine weighing just over two tonnes.
Couldnt find a garage open on the A34 after 9 pm and drove 24 miles with the range at 0. Eventualy found a garage open in Didcot town centre - thought I was going to be walking home
Why does the range drop from 70 miles to 0 in about 25 miles?
Never towed that sort of distance before but what agreat car for towing.
Current Disco 3 Base manual now done 22,000 miles. Collecting new TDV6 XS Auto in Java Black sometime next week. Kevin

Went into extrended mode a couple of times. had no trouble following Pootrols, D1, defender 90; did with ease and comfortconsidering I am still running the worn wrangers very impressed. Awaiting photos and hopefully a video on you tube.
This W/E took seven of us to the Opera House for a concert.
