Prospeed / Lazer grille mount fitting
So started the job today, way too late in the day due to hangover and kept to my usual DIY routine of driving to B&Q/wickes/halfords between every stage of the job.
As with all things prospeed, they're very well designed, they don't do things by half that's for sure
The brackets require a 5/5.5mm hole drilling into the diagonal bar as shown in the image. I drilled mine with a 6mm therefore added a nut to the other side of the self tapping bolt.
Harness fits nicely in the battery tray and I ran the wires to the switch through the grommet for the clutch. Tested it all out and works well, just need to add a splice to the main beam feed but I'll do that when I finish the DRL wiring.
Tomorrow I'll drill the switch into place, it'll be offset because of the layout of the circuitry behind here..
So it'll be far right edge which isn't very aesthetically pleasing but probably easier to feel for without looking.
As I was finishing the assembly of the brackets, I tried fitting the grille and they're too wide to fit through. Although I'll ring prospeed and let them know, I don't want to wait while they modify them or bring out a new variant for the 2014 grille. So does anyone recommend a method of cutting along the red line to make them thinner?

Fitted the bits back on and assembled the lights. Still need to paint the brackets where they've been cut, a job for next weekend. They've already rusted in an hour
Switch install, had to cut a bit of the surround away from the vent panel and may need a black marker on the white edge the drill made.
When I wire my DRLs in, I'll splice into high beam feed to for the I position on the switch.

Looking good Dan, I did similar to the D3 light switch with a illuminated push switch and plan similar for the roof light switch on the 4, need to investigate, but I got it inside the switch on the 3
