Tag/hanger for connecting fuel cap to vehicle |
|
Morning all
Does anyone know if it's possible to replace just the rubber tie/tag/hanger that connects the fuel cap to the vehicle? Mine has snapped for some reason and to keep things neat I'd like to replace it. Anyone bought one? Or will it be (as I fear) that you have to buy a whole new cap?
Cheers in advance

mines the same, thinking if maybe cable ties might work , but know it's needs some form of give to allow the cap to go round and be undone
haven't been able to find it separately

Thanks for the suggestions
I have to admit I didn't think of searching for a whole new cap as I thought they would be a lot more than 14 quid. Reckon I'll just get one of those and keep the old one in the spares box

It's not so much the diameter that put me off the Volvo one, it's that the Disco one has a rubber nobble (technical term ) that presses into the body I think, whereas this one has a small eyelet D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten
