Swansty, the lower steering column is recently changed so I don´t think my droning has anything to do with that.

Leesbay, both front hubs have been changed, one at 40.000 miles ago and the other just now. Both are Timken so I don´t believe the problem is hub related.

When the droning comes I can actually feel the vibration by putting a finger on the windscreen. It is most obvious just about at the very right end in the middle (if that makes sense...).

My monies still on wheel bearing or tyre / worn bushes related problem from experiences ive had with a few D3s
40,000 is by no means safe territory for wheel bearings even oem

Cause of noise is found and cured. Changing the A-pillar plastic trims solved the issue. New ones are quite a bit tighter than the old ones.

Peter very helpful, you changed the whole trims not just the mounting rivets?

I changed the whole trim but it probably would be ok to change only the fasteners if plastics is ok.
