Hi
Can anyone on here please confirm how many versions of sump guard there are for the D4?
My local Landy service company say there is only one in the book for all D4's.
I am sure there were at least two versions, original to 2014 facelift and post face lift.
At least one person thinks there have been three versions!
The one I have looks like all the Land Rover pictures and has Land Rover stamped on it but no part number.
It was fitted to a 2010 D4 but I am still struggling to fit to mine.
All the holes line up perfectly.
It just seems tat there is a strengthening 'ridge' along the bottom of my bumper, that is stopping the guard pulling up into position.

Many thanks, that is useful.
Follow up question if I may!
I believe my 2013 D4 is pre facelift, so if the guard fitted a 2010 model it should fit mine?
In theory yes, however I had issues with Anna's MY10 which was more like a D3 fit. RLD probably a good source of info.Paul.

Anybody know if I need 2 new M10x35 bolts for the rear of the sump guard or can I use existing?
Diagram 2 seems to suggest the current ones are binned?
Also do I need to remove the current small guard or can this stay on?
Thanks

Hi Nick
You do need new ones at the back as the existing ones are a little short to reuse, they do go in but there is very little thread holding the weight of the guard.
Also you do have to remove the plastic cover as otherwise you cannot access the tow hoop.
You may also have two little plastic flaps in front of each wheel if memory serves me correctly, these also need to be removed.
Good luck.

I've had 3 D4's MY2011 MY2012 & MY2015 and I think I've had 3 different sump guards from Ray (RLD) but I may be wrong Cheers Ian

I purchased a second hand D4 guard from a 2010 car, it fits my 2013 BUT is not a perfect fit but it does the job.
But then again who looks under a car!

Thanks. I understand that I need to remove the current plastic tow cover but there's a metal guard already in place, this is the one held by the current 2 back bolts that I need to replace. This is the part that some seem to say they have kept, others have taken off. Is there a correct method?
Splash guards each side will come off.
Thanks

Aha
Mine was left on, I had mine fitted by dealer in the end as I was having some trouble with it.
The only thing they gave back to me was the plastic bit from the front.
