Ordered new hood letters and boot letters.
Still waiting on parking sensor and tweeters
Next up steam clean it. Just bought one today so this should be fun!

That's one heck of an ongoing story there
It's such a good looking D3 you have there and in perfect cosmetic order too. You say that you get lots of comments - are they a rare sighting where you are?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

TY kindly! She was no fun to look at when i found her! lol.
D3's are not super common. You see them every so often. But people just love it. Everyone comments. More than any vehicle i have ever owned. They have a certain... presence.05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver

Found water leaking again from the sun roof.... went after the down spouts with steam cleaner this time. See if that helps... it raining again so should be easy to see.
Hood letters came in... put them on they look great.. but are crappy quality. Did not like the backing tape they used. But... from 3 feet away they look awesome. meh... will see.05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver

Black rear letters came in... much nicer. So put them on and ordered a set of fronts from the same guy. Much happier with the quality!
Got my tweeters all installed... now the music is fixed!
Sourced a removable hitch on Craigslist and a Thule bike rack so now I can load the bikes on board.
All in all.... oh... and no more rain water leaking in, for now
Update on the bluetooth. So its pretty decent. has a minor bug where sometimes the volume control on the steering wheel will forward a track. Also volume now that I fixed the speakers is probably 60 - 70% of what the radio is. Acceptable but not amazing.
Just did my second Oil change so that means I already have added over 5000km in the few months I have had her!05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver

I have now added 30k Kms to the Disco since I bought it and its doing quite well! Currently 198K
This morning did brakes (rotors and pads) up front.
Next up going to tackle the front EAS Block with a rebuild kit.
Then, going to replace the upper cam tensioners are they are rattling.
I had some issues over the winter with a suspension fault warning and the compressor getting stuck on. Dealer said it was likely moisture in the system that froze in the winter. So going to work my way through that stuff.
In the winter put on some offroad tires with winter rating on the old 18" rims. Hoping to powder coat them dark sometime this year.
Fun times! Disco on

Great story, glad you got more or less everything sorted.
Keep the updates coming When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. All of the pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

Gave the truck a bit of much needed attention.
1. Replaced the secondary cam tensioners... scary... but fun job. Did not resolve the clackety startup noise. BUMMER. I would say its less now... but not got. Before the job experimented with 20/50 oil and that made things worse. Back to 5/30 synthetic.
2. rebuilt the front eas block - easy job.
3. Fixed my engine cover that had cracked
4. had the local exhaust guys cut out the "turtle"... boy she has GREAT noises now!!!
5. after rebuilding the eas block... I get a random suspension error that goes away with a restart. Which... is better than what I had before which was an error followed by a compressor that would not turn off unless I pulled the battery and relay.
6. Wet sanded the headlights and polished. All nice and shiny now. Re built the fog lights, cleaned and resealed.
7. Mass sensor clean, throttle body clean, injector clean
8. Recharged the air con system. That fixed a low hum that would come from the blower motor when the vehicle was running. Turned out to be the air con pump. Drove me crazy for a year. I thought I had engine noise in the radio. Even replace the Engine Noise Capacitor to be safe.
Next up: Dryer rebuild. Diagnose random engine light indicating lean banks 1 and 2. Suspect vacuum leak. I wonder if the o rings on the snap fit hoses need to be replaced.
