Day... 8.. or something
Suspected the sunroof drip rails were clogged. Gave it a solid pressure wash and sure enough.. water streaming down both pillars.
Got her home.. ripped down the head liner... Grabbed my hiking bladder drink tube snake and fished it down the tubes... voila! Poured water down and it comes out the right place now so lets hope that ends that!
I have to say... I am just loving this thing. I love the driving position. The attention it commands. It drives so amazingly well. I keep reminding myself that its 11yrs old... Seriously excellent ride. oh and quiet!

Day 9 i think
Sourced steering wheel off a 7000 mi model.
Fixed: Installed steering wheel and basically new buttons. Now the interior is almost completely SORTED! Yes!!!
Just need to fix drivers heated seat.
Question.. Is there any cure for a slightly noisy heater fan motor? Its not terrible... its not whisper quiet.. its just... louder than new. Thoughts?

Let me know how you get on with the heated seat as mines stopped working as well. I was told that I'd need to replace the entire system for £600

Heater fan motor has been widely discussed. Cheapest option is to remove the heater motor (it's under/behind the glove box), clean out the debris and lubricate with wd40. If that doesn't work, because the bearings of the motor are shot, source a "new" one from a breaker. Did the trick for me.2015 Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE - Montalicino Red

More done
Key replaced... dealer charged $325 for it plus an hour labor to program it... which, they kindly gave me half off the hourly rate for.
Got my rear tow cover in and installed. So looks complete now
Ordered a bluetooth connectivity kit from African Outdoor.
Diagnosed faulty rear parking sensor and ordered new one.
Waxed the old girl and wow... she really came back nicely.
Found water in the floor and cleaned out the drip rails... both plugged.
I have the morning vvt rattle... trying to determine if i fix it... or wait.
Lastly... this one is weird... but when I turn on the heater fan on any low speed I can hear an amplification of engine whine through the speakers. Replace heater fan? Thoughts appreciated.05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver
Had a similar noise and turned out to be a goosed alternator - word of caution I am a mechanical Luddite and have been known to be wrong!I started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.

Went back... got more parts from the breakers.
Snagged blower motor, condenser? Grill, side vent, and odds and ends.
Installed the blower motor and made an instructional video after finding a wrong method on youtube. Will post it later.
Solved my noisy fan issue. YES! The grill turned out to be perfect after cleaning it up. YES!ely
And finally, found that tiny round cover for the screw in the door handle... yes.. call me ocd.. but it was driving me NUTS! LMAO!
All in all its coming together so well. I LOVE THIS THING!05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver

At some point the drivers door was pulled apart and it had a wicked rattle to it when i closed it.
Today I ripped it apart. Found that half of the mounts for the door card were damaged or missing. Also took the opportunity to replace a crappy tweeter...
Then had the joy of aligning the sunroof. Discovered that some idiot stripped 2 of the screws used to align it... Why people... why???
I really need a couple more tweeters. Changing the one really highlighted how bad the others are.
That said... I love this thing. Everything so far is super easy to work on. Oh.. and the looks? People love this thing! 05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver

Installed African Outdoor Bluetooth Module today.
Works pretty well so far. Discovered that only 1 tweeter is any good. Rest are all damaged. Will source those as soon as I can.
Can the sunroof seal be replaced? Mine could use a replacement I think.05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver
