Thank you for all the information, I had to attend 2 different Hospitals in central London today which took ALL day so have not been online since last night until now.
I have been looking up Diodes and I am getting more confused lol There seems to be different types. I saw that Maplins have a Diodes from 49p.

Thank you Narpy, That is exactly what this blonde needed Seriously though, that is perfect. Even I can't get that wrong, I hope
Does it matter which way round they are fitted? Or are they like the resistors for the indicators?
I have just ordered 2 of those Diodes in case I break 1
Now I just need the camera's to turn up.

No probs.
Do you understand what the diode is preventing and why it's essential?
The diode can only be fitted one way as they only allow current to pass in one direction and not the other.
A simple bleep test will tell you which way round to wire it in.Mods:

It is preventing 2 lots of positive feeds activating the camera at the same time and I think from what was written earlier it also stops the reverse lights being turned on with the camera when the camera is selected without the car being in reverse.
My brain is fried from being out and about for 13 hours and driving for 8 and a half of those hours. Everything will make sense to me properly tomorrow

Will it allow the camera to automatically activate when the reverse gear is selected though? Do I not need to be a Diode on each positive wire?
Sorry for all the questions.

Yes, selecting reverse will power up the camera if you wire it correctly.
No, you only need a diode on the reverse light circuit. Mods:

I have received the Diodes that I ordered, I know I only need 1. The seller has put a white sticker on 1 end a red sticker on the other end of both of them. And I notice that the diodes are red 1 end and black the other. Do they have to be fitted a certain way round?

They are a one way electrical conductor. Power will only flow in one direction, not the other.
You want to position it so power can flow from the reverse light live wire to the camera but not from the camera to the reverse light.
You're going to need to get yourself switched on with this DN, like I said, it's really basic stuff which would kinda explain itself if you understood why you were doing what you're doing. Mods:
