So is that because of skill's/tools/knowledge needed to do the job. I do understand why you don't want to fit bits that do not come from the land rover box but are a lot of these cars quite a few years older now and bearing in mind that the pumps are probably made by the same company should not the customer not have that choice Discovery 3 se gone

You have the choice to fit what you want but Geoff and Flack won't fit it becuase they want some protection as small independent traders that they get by fitting genuine parts. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)
New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!) Sold
Sold Volvo XC90 R-Design (known as Basil)
Sold - D4 HSE (Known as Gerty)
No longer the Old Buses original owner
231,000 miles and counting
05 S manual owned from March 2005
D4 Face lifted
Still original injectors and turbo
V8 Front brakes
BAS Remap, Allisport Intercooler and deCat
EGRs blanked
T-Max split charge
Hanibal Expeedition rack

I agree when u price up and LR oil pump it's around £200. Get a Citreon one and it around £90. What's the point in risking the engine for £100 it's a no brainier get a pump from Land Rover.

The difference is it does not come with a Land Rover invoice so there for is not covered under any Land Rover parts warranty. It come with a Citreon invoice so would be covered under Citreon warranty but wait it's not fitted to a Citreon. So it has no warranty.
