If you go into a show room look at the tyres on a number of the same models, you will generally see GY, Perrelli and Bridgestone, there seems to be no rhyme or reason - what ever they could get cheapest I guess. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

And Mr Winger... for why ?
I will need new tyres soonish (30K wear on a car this heavy is good as far as I am concerned - am I wrong ?) and want to select the best for what I do... road use mainly but need grip (LR Grip) in the winter and for when playing with the forum).
Goodyear's offer a good range of grip but are very noisy when they start to wear.

Life, noise, grip, tread depth, compound.............not the cheapest, but the best tyre for the driving I do. (Synchrone is the model)

I had Synchrones on my D2, they were very good. What annoys me slightly is that the fronts on that lasted 54000 miles, the rears nearly 70000

Fairly normal for most cars unless you always carry a lot of weight in the back, the front usually wear first The End

Its your choice, but I don't think you will be disappointed. You will certainly get more mileage out of them. Maybe you should find a D2 tomorrow and have a butchers at its shoes and see what you think.
