The DEF fault for sure. I would give Land Rover Assist a call, don't give LR any ammunition by saying you drove the car with engine management light. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct my thinking though. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Do yours count down the remaining DEF distance mile by mile? I have done 2.000 km from new and it is showing 25.000 km remaining all the time. Is this a sign of fault?

I think it works the same as the fuel range on the trip computer. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Had similar over Christmas yellow warning and message saying won't start in so many hundred miles but service menu says I've got 9k fluid left. It went away after 50 miles driving but have it booked on 4th of Feb for temp problem, camera problem, this problem and numerous others.
Dealer said my car is not in the VIN range for the current DEF software patch.

Adblue systems have always been a pita, once the mechs get to grips with them its not so bad, but then they change the system and everyone has to learn again!
You can get emulators for the truck adblue systems so wont be long before there are ones available for cars.

MrH wrote:Generally as stated above but I remember one D4 owner on here having some real problems with the adblu system shortly after delivery, I believe that was something to do with the spec of the adblu fluid.
Edit:
Just did a quick search but couldn't find the thread mention above, but I did find this one about AdBlu in 2008, makes for some interesting (humourous) reading

Booger! That means ours is in the group. Oh well, best get it booked it and checked before it becomes a problem along with the ambient temperature error and crap surround camera quality. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Yours has a different fault. The VIN range relates to a recalibration that yours already has from the factory
