Hi,
No unfortunately or luckily depends what your views are, I don’t have rear AC. I’m hoping mine is the condenser. No pressure in the AC to test. I guess I’ll just take it out and have a good look. Is it straight forward to replace?

And sorry they are pretty easy to change at least the disco only has 2 rads at the top my supercharged has 3 which made it a lot harder Discovery 3 se gone

If the condenser is gone on mine I was going to order this
I’m in the same situation and have also seen this. Are you going to fit this yourself? Have you done a leak test? I went to get mine refilled but pressure test showed a very small leak, I just have no idea where the leak is!
Hi
I did fill up my ac but alas week later was empty, so got to find the leak
Was thinking of using my air compressor to put a bit of air into the system then bubble test all the joints etc
Reading through the forum is seems a common issues on the condenser failing and see it also comes with a new dryer
Will then just vaccum test it , got a vaccum gauge so once that’s hopefully sound can get it refilled and vaccum properly at an ac specialist
Have not got rear ac , mines a base model

So your just going straight in with changing the condenser and hoping thats what is at fault? I agree, I’ve done a lot of reading and it seems the condenser is usually at fault due to its location.

Hi
No, was going to fill the system up a little with air and spray all the joints I can see if I can find it, might just be dried O rings
Useto be a heating engineer so still have all my pressure test equipment when I useto hunt down gas leaks , know it’s different but concept the same with it being a leak
Will just work my way through the system bit by bit, never know with air in the system a spray the condenser it may show up a leak
Never change a part unless I can prove it’s faulty, think I need to get out more
But indeed can see it being the condenser if it’s a common issue but will see if it’s leaking or not
Funny enough , done the same by slowly going through the suspension system stage by stage and this is how I finally found the leak in my struts

, thanks, think where I done fault finding on boilers etc it teaches u that mindset of going through a system stage by stage and only changing a part if I can prove it’s faulty
Knew I was sad when I redone the test on the struts in my kitchen and fingers crossed I hadn’t replaced both front struts for nothing
Same with mine , I attached a vacuum gauge on the ac low side and after pulling a vaccum I watched the gauge as it slowly sank
Plse let us know ref the condenser as it wouldn’t surprise me if I also end up changing it , plus don’t know how hard it is to replace
Also looking at the pictures of the ac system I see there’s 2 x O rings we’re the dryer attaches to the condenser and another set of O rings on the right hand side of the rad, will see if I can find the pics

Don’t know if this is any help, shows where the ac joints are etc
Plus also read that sometimes the actual ac high and low shrieder connectors can let by

Also where the pressure sensor connects to the system can have leaks and watch the little plastic clip that holds up the gearbox cooler(i Think) they break easy Discovery 3 se gone

Not sure either if you can use compressed air either as my air-con guy came to find a fault on my Renault he said only nitrogen should be used for leak finding but i m sure someone will come and tell you if you can use it i would have thought to much pressure and possibly make things worse Discovery 3 se gone

No , ur right , not supposed to put air into the air system and should really get some nitrogen
I was just going to do it to find the leak then vaccum it out , bottom line really to save some money after spending out so much for all the suspension etc
Set my air compressor up with 2 x lines, one doesn’t have an oiler and also thinking of putting a canister in-line to stop moisture from the air
