Well it does not matter who wins its about taking part.. tomorrow I migrate down South to SA to re-join my D3's after only a month of ownership after my departure up North back in April.
Just a big thank you to both Flack and Mikey and along with all other contributors (and there are a lot of them) who spend not only their time but give away their key experience to all of us so we can sleep at night in dealing with the quirks of the D3.
well done guy's keep up the brilliant work... on this brilliant forum Owning a Discovery 3 is like dating a model.. a firm body and shape, wow.. the ride is fantastic > for this your wallet can take a pounding and you worry about being deflated at any time...

That said, I can't remember 30 days back
I'm not surprised ,with the speed at which you and Flack get the work done it'd be a push to remember a couple of days back! 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Geoff at Drym wrote:This is to say many thanks to Disco_Mikey for the supply of the genuine FoMoCo oil pump and cam belt etc. I had fitted a Bearmach pump but had the crankshaft seal pop out after a self inflicted overheat of the engine. Also the plastic cooling housing that sits in the 'vee' had split and was leaking badly. So I replaced the housing and fitted a new seal to the Bearmach. But I was concerned that this may not last, so got the genuine stuff from Mike. I spent all day Saturday(31st.) fitting the new pump, belt, tensioner, etc., and am now more at ease with the set up. Biggest time consuming problem was the pigging starter motor. Amazing how sometimes it goes in and out no problem, and sometimes it takes forever!! The crankshaft seal was in fact still in place on the Bearmach pump, but as some of you have had the seal come out after about 2000k and I was getting up to that mileage, I'm glad that I have now done what is, I hope, a more permanent fix.
Again, many thanks Mike for supplying proper parts at a competitive price.
I notice that the price of the Bearmach pump has almost trebled in price.
That to me, says they have ditched their own design of pump, and using a different one now, or
They have inflated the price massively to cover any warranty claims
Regardless, even cost price for the pump is more than the retail price of the OEM pump from Citroen/Peugeot My D3 Build Thread

You're joking! Really? I would suspect they've just priced themselves out of the market.
I bet it won't be long before Citroen/Peugeot cotton on and put their prices up. 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE
