Tickover too low ?

At the moment tickover on my car is 5 to 600 revs and when I am waiting at junctions it is nearly stalling, it also starts juddering when my foot is on the brake , when I arrive at a junction and brake when it is going back into 1st it nearly stalls then aswell is there anything I can do to speed tickover up a bit or sort the problem out. Any help would appreciated as its quite annoying. Thumbs Up

Mine has always idled at 750 rpm when warmed up, slightly higher when cold. I'm not aware of any facility for adjustment either Rolling Eyes .......Any fault codes pertaining to the engine? Or is the alternator being loaded up excessively, ie battery needing a massive charge all the time.

Update your IIDtool Whistle

Anyway, clear the fault codes as some of those may have been when they did the gearbox work. Then take it for a drive and re read the codes. Thumbs Up

I have noticed that tickover on the tool is 736rpm but it looks a lot lower on the rev counter ! Still I would like to be able to fix the problem I am having if its not the tickover speed.

When were those readings taken, Mark? They look normal, but none of them is up to temperature. Best to graph the values from cold and up to full temperature. Thumbs Up

Slightly off topic, but what black magic are you using to read to present that data on your iPhone?
