MY 2016.5 Revealed
Just seen the spy shots of the Disco 5...yuk!!!
Been on the French Land Rover site to look at the configuration of the HSE I have on order...and the S, SE, HSE and HSE Lux are no longer offered.
For the French market, at least, they are running out the last few Disco 4s as "Graphite" (TDV6 engine and roughly an SE) or "Landmark" (SDV6 as a French spec HSE + electric roof, cooler centre console, parts of the Black Pack, silver roof rails and 511 style wheels). Landmark available in Tan Leather (yuk!!!) & only Zanzibar Gold (yuk!!!) + 4 other colours.
Think Land Rover must have lost the plot !!!

If the choice had been that poor when we'd ordered our 16MY then we might have stuck with what we'd got
Only two trim levels, with the posh one customers only have the "choice" of black, white, grey, or silver; the only colour is Angel Delight Butterscotch I am sure that even the Soviet Era Lada factory could have provided a better choice than that
Aren't run out cars meant to attract customers, not repel them?

Hi John,
Apparently so...no options for S, SE, HSE, HSE Lux now on the French site, so assume the same will follow in the UK.
For info the Landmark price has moved from 62000 Euros to 67 and some for a bunch of carp I didn't want... The Graphite price has only moved north by 1000 or so Euros (and adds grained leather) but with the 3.0 TDV6...which will force everybody upmarket.
Like the Butterscotch comparison...certainly not my Angel's delight!!!
On a serious note I ordered a HSE in Loire Blue with Almond Interior, tinted rears & reverse camera on 15/6. Car has been with the dealers (Bordeaux LR) since 8/10 awaiting conversion to a French commercial. I sold my last pickup before the car arrived, and was hoping for a quick handover...however the dealers are treating me like muck and can't say when the conversion kit will arrive. Had to send a recorded delivery letter today stating that if the car isn't delivered by 6/11 I will cancel the contract... Have seen new Navara V6's at 33000 Euros VAT in and that will have to be the way forward if LRB can't pull their fingers out

All that and price increases too! Glad you managed to get one of the last of the decent ones and in a one of the very best colours too.
That's a pain about delivery though, I understand your frustration. What with it being one of the last of the good ones and the Navara being a very different proposition, I really hope you manage to get them to pull their fingers out.
I'm surprised that no one else has picked up on the problems with 16.5MY cars that you've highlighted here

It's obviously a ploy by JLR to stop customers buying roll-out models in the hope they buy a new D5 when they're out...I fear the ploy may backfire!!! I think the DISC 5 will be here sooner than many expect, in my dealer the D4 does not exist very long time ago.. lost in translation!

You would expect LR will do a Metropolis based on the Lux with all the options ticked to get rid of parts. I asked my dealer when ordering mine an he said i would have thought they would but hadn't heard anything.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
