IID tool activation

Hi, I'm confused already Laughing which doesn't take much Rolling Eyes


I've plugged the tool in to the OBD and all it does is scan the vehicle and then disappear.

I've located it via the iPad found the code, entered it on the gap site, but then it asks for a new vin licence.

It is a second hand unit so I guess the code is the old owners ?

Can I have a thicko's guide as I'm obviously doing something wrong?

My problem is, I think, that I can't get the code to send as it comes up in red letters that I need a vin licence Confused

Have you connected it to your computer with the USB cable and then logged into GAP's website>upgrades? - I am sure that's what I did to upgrade the firmware. I am interested in this as I may have to the same shortly Whistle It can when others can't,

Take some screenshots on the iPad and email them to Pat - he answered my problems the following working afternoon (I hadn't entered the code that they had emailed me) D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black
D3 2005 SE Java Black - p/x to D4
D2 2001 GS - p/x to D3

Plugged in to my PC vis usb and it can't find it Big Cry
