I would. It's a perfectly good TC*, so for someone who might want to fit it themselves, or a garage willing to take a punt and guarentee it, it would be ideal.

That will take my total spend not including price of car to just under £5000

£5k in 4 months is a lot to spend! I've just worked out I've spent around £7k in 3 and a half years. Presuming my man maths isn't way out, and my motor is worth £9k it's cost me around £340 per month. Not far off the cost of leasing a new base spec D4!
Hope you get many months of trouble free motoring now
So do I Richard thanks. I drove my friend to the airport this morning with my new front diff in great when I back off now no vibration at all. It just does it now all the time the power is on and its that bad the spare change in my broken always open ash tray was nearly jumping out onto the floor I do hope its just the gear box now and nothing else
I don't believe it I have taken car to Tameside transmissions this morning to have gearbox done and on the test drive he said yes you are right gearbox will need a overhaul it is slipping and it is causing it to go into fail mode when you kickdown, but the vibration at 60mph is NOT the gearbox its the front diff So I told him it had had new bearings in only last week and he said its not that its the crown wheel and pinion, I can play a tune on it by putting my foot on and off the power ! So do I take it back to Barley Garage and tell him or do I let Tameside do it all ? God I must have someone off upstairs when I bought this bloody car The only saving grace is apart from that he said it drives very well and does not think it needs a megatronic unit so I can spend the money saved on that getting the diff sorted He said I will let you know more when I get it out of the car which will not be until tomorrow.

Get the gearbox done and then take it from there. Phone the other place up to let them know what this place has said, see what they have to say about it before you tackle the diff again. It'll give you time to decide what to do.
To be honest Mr T I don't want him to touch it again I will ring him to let him know but I may just have it all done at once. Its a long way from where I live to be taking it back and forth. I will see what price

Sounds like the sensible option
It'll soon be done
