Hi,
I'm just about to fit a new Timing belt & have been pondering about fitting an Oil Pump too.
My D3 is a 56 plate with 100k on it.
The previous owner assured me that the Timing belt had been changed at 'the appropriate' time (7 years or 107k - think that's right?)
I'd be more than willing to try a Citroen part out, as opposed to paying Land Rover double!
Nice Detective work Mikey!

Just for info, just replaced the pump on my 07 plate, 150,000 miles - 40,000 after it's cambelt change.
Pump was indeed the 'weak' type, so I'm glad i've replaced it with the beefed up version, however the original that i removed looks to have no signs of stress or damage at the place that they normally fail.
I will endeavour to get it NDT'd at work just to see if there is anything hidden in the casting....

So I have oil leaking from the oil pump area on my 07 plate diesel. I've assumed that this means that at the least the crank shaft seal will need replacing, and since I've got to get to the oil pump to get to it, I'm replacing that too. So here is the plan:
Get new pump - tick
Get new crankshaft seal (timing end) - tick
Get locking kit for timing gear - tick
Get new crankshaft pulley bolt - really
ok have booked one for pickup tomorrow from Eurocarparts. Its a Citroen C6 part.
Follow a mix of Disco Mike's instructions for changing the timing belts and Flack's oil pump notes.
How hard can it be? 2007 D3 2.7 150k

Welcome flatoutintop
You need to be a little more specific about your whereabouts maybe.
How about Flack who posted just above - he is a good man & well thought of.
