Well I got it out wether it or anything else is going back in is a different story! Took heat 22 mm deep socket and a 3 foot length of scaffold pole.

Its the only way I can imagine it got in that state. Its back in with a little persuasion. just need to drill out a snapped bolt on the centre box and reassemble.==================================

Finally reassembled.
Fired her up, slightly different tone to the exhaust but sounds ok.
Plugged in IID, immediate improvement in fuel trims, cleared fault codes from before and will take her for a run tomorrow.==================================

Unfortunately that dodgy sensor is now showing heating circuit failure, so CEL is back on.==================================
