Been quoted £260 for new front brake pads and discs!

Front left brake pads gone and the disc, been quoted £260 fitted as they come in a set. Thing is if I only need front left side is there anyway I can get just 1 pad and disc for the left side and get it fitted?

Thanks guys

Oh and where is the snow this year, after 4 years of owning a crap in the snow 350z I bought this for the snow and sods law no snow.

You're in the wrong area for snow:

You can buy discs one at a time but not pads, however never fit discs in singles you will end up with uneven braking.

I would be more concerned as to why only one pad worn, need to check for a seized caliper or slider.

Front Disc and pad kit here from £75 delivered

leaves quite a lot left over to sort fitting!

same answer as your PM

These are fine (£75 kits) - sold about 180 of these kits last year on the forum. The other kits are more of a premium brand with closer to OEM braking efficiencies.

Local independent garage round here will fit self-supply disks and pads for £20 so it's worth asking around once you've bought them if you don't want to fit yourself.

Mine were shot like yours - turned out to be a seized slider.

As both my discs were worn too I went for the AF V8 brake upgrade.

A massive improvement in stopping power.

Nearly broke my nose on the windscreen first time out!! Rolling with laughter

Very competitively priced and well worth it.

Cheers guys sorted it now you saved me over £100.

Only thing now is I need 4 new tyres, or 2nd hand ones that have decent tread, mine have 2mm left on them.

I'd be very wary of 2nd hand tyres, there could be unseen damage you won't know about until they go pop, normally at motorway speeds in the outside lane.

Do the v8 upgrade discs fit straight on without the dust cover bing reshaped? Or is there enough clearance?

Plenty of clearance:

Standard:

V8:

 De-Tango
V8 Brakes
EGRs blanked
Running boards
3 flash indicators and clock on dash
Blingy grille...
