Rear Upper suspension bushes - Easy or hard to do ?
Hi all,
I have had the pleasure of TFC who has carried out a health check on my beast.
The upshot is I have some wear on my upper rear suspension, part numbers
LR010523 & LR010525 Arm Assy - Rear Suspension right and left hand.
Is this something I could tackle myself or do I need someone that knows what they are doing. TFC has obviously quoted but I could do with saving some pennies really as I need tyres and Christmas is looming.
Many thanks as always.

A few have tackled this job at home and suceeded but it's a job tbh.
I didn't take the job on and i'm glad I didn't , rather put in a few hours OT and let someone else stress over it in workshop conditions
Just replaced ALL the bushes, well all of the wishbones and hub bushes.
front was not so bad but when i got to the back the upper rear was the worst...
Make sure you have bought new arms rather than pressing in bushes as you WILL have to cut the uppers out!
My mistake unfortunately, now have redundant rear bushes as I originally asked for wishbones and they did a special order and gave me bushes and wont take them back
I have four posters and a wide range of equipment so it was easier for me but its still a pain in the derriere.
Went for four wheel alignment and ended up spending £1500 on it, as epb needed replacing along with other stuff
anyway, you'll save yourself loads as they quoted me over 3k to change the tyres and replace the front lowers and rear uppers.
Good luck! where theres a wil theres a way!

Hi mark,
I had TFC do my rear upper arms on my d3 this week, out of the 2 sides one had all the bolts undo and the arm was taken out in one peice, the other he had to cut the old arm to gain access to the stuck rear bolts with a reciprocating saw, and he also had to drill out a bolt from the upper ball joint that was completely stuck in.
One side took 45 minutes and the other 2 hours.
I did consider the DIY route, but was so glad I didn't.

Holy thread resurrection!
I have a cracked body frame bushes on the front, there orange in colour.
Who are TFC ? Seem to be referred to a lot regarding bushes!
Whilst my front end is entirely stripped I might as well change them!
ThanksGoodness knows what I've let myself in for...
