@ Red Merle: That's one of the fun things about geology, you get to hammer the stuffing out of what you are studying. And if things get serious out come the chisel.
Mind you when they let me get my hands on HF, as part of a Palaeontology research project, then it got a bit scary.

Perfect! Don't say that doesn't help! Taadaa!
That's a very nice looking example you've got for sale there
Unfortunately, the Mrs is very colour sensitive and almond leather and red it must be! Best of luck with the sale

Finances meant that I needed to postpone for a short period but, not actually having driven a D4 since 2011 (!), I thought it best to take one out for a test drive to see if it's as nice as I remember. Booked out for Saturday afternoon...
May have to lower my sights from an HSE though - may be more sensible to go for a Fuji White / Almond SE Tech / sun roof / privacy and make the whole project more affordable to the tune of around รยฃ6,000! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as โsecondโ cars ๐
2021 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

No No No, don't drive one, dealer will have you deposit down on an HSE faster than you can say smooth 8 speed box... Disco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...

The problem is that it'll be an HSE they're lending me; I guess there's method in their madness.... 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Step away from the test drive, that way lies financial ruin.

It's looking like a very real possibility DSL... 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I went to have a quick look at the DS in the showroom window.
They convinced me to have a D4 HSE Lux demo
