HUGE Thanks to Geoff for sorting my knackered wheel bearing out on Tuesday morning.
There was a lot of play in the bearing and was a bit of a nightmare to get off.
But the new wheel bearing is on, and the car is totally different to drive. It's almost too quiet compared to the many months I have heard that horrible noise which I put down to the new tyres, which got extremely loud recently.
The drive over to Geoff was horrible as I couldn't go fast because of shaking and the noise, the drive home was fantastic. No more being over taken by arctic lorries on bypasses lol

Your brake disc doesn't look like it's seen a set of pads for a while

I can assure you the brakes are all working as they should apart from handbrake, just the angle of the photo I think.

I want to, but the weather has been stopping me. The holes were cut quite big enough although the drilled holes to mark the line are correct, but the holes need filing out a little bit for the bezels to go on which I do have. However people charge an arm and a leg for the fog lights themselves and the switches and looms. I am planning on making a visit to somewhere like toolstation to get a file over the weekend.

Christmas now out of the way, a few goodies were bought for the Disco, including a set of Philips Xtreme Vision bulbs, so now I have to go and buy another pair to match them. I also got a pair of 3 ton ratchet axle stands plus the LED rear bumper lights.
Tomorrow at the very least the fog light holes are going to be made the correct size so I can put the bezels in and on Boxing day, all the Christmas decorations were removed.
Now on the look out for fog lights, spot lights and the wiring loom for the fog lights.
And after my operation, may be moving to Scotland, but not sure yet and this won't be until Summer at the earliest if anything happens.

Christmas was pretty good, got a few goodies for the Disco, including uprated bulbs which I had to buy a matching pair. So the Disco now has Philips Xtreme Vision 130% brighter bulbs fitted. And the bulb change appears to have come in the nick of time as the Osram bulbs that were removed from the headlights were black and silver where they were ready to die. Which is a relief as I had put the sudden dullness of the lights down to a possible dying battery. Thankfully I was very wrong
Tesco's also had a noisy visit from me too as my partner and I finally got round to properly finishing the holes in the bumper for the fog lights and have now fitted the bezels, so the holes don't look crap anymore.
Just look sorry for themselves with no lights in them lol.
Boxing day the decorations were removed from the car to the relief of my partner as we needed to go out and I had been drinking on Christmas day, so chose to be the passenger, and when you are feeling rubbish after drinking and are the passenger in your pride and joy, does make your nerves a lot shorter for every gear change and hard corner taken!
There is now no money for upgrades, so what I already have stored up is all that is going on until Summer.

Not started my Discovery for a few days and the display read 3 degrees, but when I started it for the first time and yes I waited for the glow plug light to go out, it ran a bit lumpy until I started driving it. Been smooth ever since, however I remember this happening when I first got the car and the temperatures were low. All the time the temperatures have been good it has been silky smooth. And I haven't lost any MPG, so not sure as to what's up. Handbrake is still banging when it applies itself occasionally although I do try and keep it off and have learn't to at least allow the car to rest on the gearbox in 1st gear before trying to keep the brake off. This seems to have stopped the banging as I have to park my car on a hill.

I couldn't resist, I was out and saw that this dealer had put a very smart looking D4 out the front, and just had to get a picture of it and mine together lol.

We got a little bit of snow, So like a kid a Christmas, I went out to play lol. I found some really icy places where I saw other cars slipping and not being able to get up. And in standard mode, the Discovery went up just fine.
I am really hoping that February brings a lot more snow after my other car has been MOT'd.
