After a wee run have you tried touching the centre of each wheel in turn to see if one has more heat than the others or in your case if the rears are hotter than the fronts (or visa versa)?
My money is on the handbrake but....
Next time you do a test like that try reversing slowly and see if the symptoms persist.

No hot wheels, 2 separate dealers have examined all brakes and found no issues.
1st one practically told me I was making it up.

Could it be one of the turbos actuator stuck slightly.

I'm surprised there's no fault codes, considering the engine management light is on?

Do the brakes feel very sharp with a hard pedal when the car is doing its 'thing' ?
Mine sometimes feels like the brakes are binding slightly, and when it does, I briefly stamp on the brake pedal to trigger the abs (check for traffic behind!) and it immediately returns to normal.
Mine has been back to the dealer a few times with this and to be honest all they do is clean the brakes up, and it's OK for a while.
It was quite a regular occurrence when the car was new, but now it's 2.5 yrs and 55k it's not done it for a while.

The brakes feel normal, I think it could well be the brakes though.
What else would cause the car to complete stop without touching the brakes
Logically it can only really be
Brakes
Gearbox
Drivetrain

Could be, we'll see rather brilliantly the dealer can't look at it until the 5th Jan which is a touch annoying

Quite frankly I'd be on at them stating its not fit for purpose and that you be given a courtesy car.

Well I'm a bit annoyed now!!
I think I've been pretty reasonable about this.
It's been to the dealers 3 times with this on one occasion for 4 days while the service manager drove it around / home to see if the problem happened (it didn't)
No courtesy car which was a pain but I just wanted them to see it and then fix it.
LR Customer services (Ryan now) are saying that even though I've videoed that doesn't mean a thing unless a dealer can recreate it.
Having been told that there is nothing wrong with it, now having proof and feeling vindicated they are still saying that unless a dealer can replicate it there isn't a problem..
Does this seem reasonable?

not expert enough to suggest solutions (only thoughts are fuel pump pressure know, or minor blockage in injectors, leading to loss of power and hence the symptoms you have), but if it were me I would ask if the dealer is willing to check it again in the very near future - if they are not willing to, or not able to find the fault, I would then tell them that I am getting an independent specialist to look at it, and, if they find nothing, I will pay - but if they do find something then I will expect them to pay for the inspection and the remedial work. It either gives you second opinion, or makes them look a bit harder - either way, progress.
You then need to find a good independent, but I'm sure there are many recommendations on here, and give them this thread with possible issues on it.
