I don't think they looked that bad when I bought them but they were part of a collection of items and I didn't look that closely, I just had a shopping list. Very unlike me but there you go. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Actually you have more rights for a claim against them if you did not examine them before purchase than if you did!
They are not fit for purpose and you should be talking to Trading Standards, they take safety and anything to do with lifting and weight bearing seriously. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I have to admit surprise that MM didn't jump all over you with a refund or replacement even if they didn't admit fault.
I use MM in Gateshead regularly and the guys there are absolute stars.

Quick update to this. I called MM to find out what was going on as I hadn't heard from them after 3 wks. To my surprise they said the approval was done and I could have either a replacement or a refund.
When I visited the store for my refund, one of the guys on the counter said something like "Oh, those car ramps? I would want another pair either in your shoes."
So fair play, the gave me a full refund in the end.
Now to find a decent replacement set...2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

I like the big plastic ones. They don't lift that high but reassuringly solid.

Yes I'm leaning towards a pair of those - just want to find them from a reputable supplier. Not sure I want to risk eBay and tempt fate again 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

These claim to be the original Rhino Ramps complete with markings but the look-alikes are pretty good too:

I've had a set of the Halords ones for a few years now, but have never used them on the disco for obvious reasons. Having seen those Rhino ones, I think I might ebay mine and get a set.
