Some new bits for Vinnie turned up this week.............sixteen of them to be exact! Another big to AF, the service is second to none.

After getting my tyres fitted I was advised to change some of my wheel nuts as they were rounding and swollen. So I thought I'd do all sixteen to be on the safe side!!
I decided it was time to tackle the lower steering column too, I found this a pig of a job lay on my back on the cold ground struggling but I was pleased to get it done. I've only had a quick spin in the D3 since fitting it but instantly it felt a lot better. Old vs new.......

All I need to do now is research the correct place to put axle stands when removing a wheel! Also does anybody else use a D1 jack and find it's not tall enough? I ended up using two bricks under it but that won't help me if I get a flat out and about!

It's getting that way
I'm a bit ocd with my vehicles, I like to try and get them to the condition they left the factory in! Not condition obviously but if somethings on it then it should work! So you can imagine my frustration at the drivers seat heater not working

I think they were about £52 delivered, and they arrived super quick! I saw them cheaper on eBay but they were probably cheap knock off's!!

Iceman earlier in your posts you fitted a DE EGR Kit what is that?. I'm completely new to the Disco or any LR so you will have to excuse my ignorance. I have cleaned the MAP sensor which has made a hell of a difference to the pick up under revs and have ordered a an updated diff breather and am enjoying the tinkering

I'm new to a D3 and to the forum myself, but not to other Land Rovers! EGR is the exhaust gas recirculation valves, it basically means the vehicle runs on recirculated exhaust gas and a little fresh air! Blank the valves and the vehicle runs on fresh air only (and diesel)!!
Here's some instructions so you can see whats involved

Cheers Iceman and thank you for the tips on the thread and other members.
I cleaned the MAP sensor and for 229,000 miles it goes exceptionally well on the pick up and has improved but not completely solved the rev hunting I was getting.

I looked at numerous threads with different grills in but decided I liked the Powerful UK D4 look grill. More expensive than a Narpy/Beanie grill but I'm very happy with it and the way it looks 8)
