Just looked in your gallery and it looks good up there! I like the pic of the D3 parked on the road with the lights on 8) We made the mistake of trying to drive that road from Abergavenny to Hay while the festival was on! I took us forever to get along it with queue's of cars trying to reverse into gateways and everywhere..........never again!
I've been along that road a few times. The view from the top of Hay Bluff is just stunning. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Today's gift to Vinnie...........new shoes!

I ordered the standard size 255/60 R18 Pirelli Scorpion ATR's from Camskill and took them into a local tyre shop for fitting, an hour later he came out donning his new shoes!!

Thought I better take them out for a little play this afternoon so I loaded the dog up and headed to some farmland where we walk........a picture to prove they are dirty and christened now!

I also took delivery of another parcel today, something I've looked at for years (when I had my 200tdi) but never ordered, so I decided now was the time to order some and try them out if the situation arises!

Waffle boards!!

Only problem is they are too big to store in the boot with enough room for my dog to get in. So for now they are living here........

When I get a free moment I plan to cut a strip of squares of both ends so they'll fit perfectly against the dog guard inside the boot and maybe fasten them against it with a couple of ratchet straps!

I hear the 19" are coming back into stock in the uk again now! I would have loved something aggressive for off road but my priority was road handling and low noise, and by all accounts these do that job just great

Today I cut down the waffle boards so they fit snugly against the dog guard, I then fastened them in place with ratchet straps. I also sat them on a couple of blocks of wood so I could store a few of my longer bits underneath them.

And even with my bits ands bobs put back in there's still plenty of room for the pooch!

A couple of new parts arrived today.

I have noticed play in the steering wheel and a knocking/rumbling while driving over bumpy surfaces so with the help of many threads on here I diagnosed it as the lower steering column. My reverse sensors were just a continuos beep so I hooked up the IIDTool and got the fault:
I fitted the new sensor today, thankfully it was the outside at fault so I could change it without removing the bumper or getting too involved. Old and new.......

After installing the new sensor and connecting it back up I noticed my COD was playing up

I did a search on here and the advice that had previously been given was to do a hard reset, I found the instructions in the wiki and set about doing it. Once all was connected back up the COD was back to normal again. I read it can be a sign of low battery voltage but I'm guessing it was more to do with me disconnecting an electrical connection?!

Where did you get the boot liner from? Land Rover do a light grey one which two Airedales will soon mess up.
I'm new to the Forum but have just bought an 05 D3 with 229,000!! miles on.

Cheers mate
The Waffle boards were bought off eBay from Tracmat, they were about £65.
The sensor was also bought off eBay which is something I never do, I always try to stay Genuine with parts! I'm not sure if I ordered the right one or not as it worked for a few days but now none of the rear pdc works Unless of course it's a fault with the speaker as I'm not hearing any beeps, not even one when I put it in R

I was a bit worried on the mileage but at just over £4,000 I thought it worth the risk even at an auction:shock: my brother in law put it on the ramp at his garage and all seems okay. There were however 14 faults showing on the diagnostics but most were minor things I can live with.
I already have a list of things I need so no doubt it will make me skint and I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions on here.
