I hadn't used them until last year when I had my decat fitted. But the service was very good. Offered to drop me off in to town whilst the work was done etc. When my hub went they insisted on using Timkin knowing that a cheap alternative would only cause issue again in the short term.
The whole place is full of Land Rovers so you have that warm fuzzy feeling they know what they are doing. I wouldn't say it's the cheapest garage I've ever used but I think it's worth paying a little extra for the experience with our marquee.
One thing to note is that as a new customer they insisted I had a diagnostic done to ensure the car was in good health before they touched it. (Probably because I told them I had removed the EGR's they just wanted to be safe).
But in general whenever I am in Hereford and unable to do a job myself they are the people I would go to.
As an example I think I remember my Timkin hub being replaced for 180GBP. (Then they checked the alignment again for free).Ted

I lost my towing virginity yesterday
Had to collect a some FREE logs with a borrowed trailer and didn't even notice the trailer was there, Vinnie pulled it so effortlessly 8)
I was a little apprehensive about towing but it was a doddle really!
Next on my want list is an Ifor Williams!!!

The newest addition to be bought is my very own tow bar. I will very rarely tow so I opted for the detachable tow bar, plus I think the fixed bar ruins the look of the D3!
It was advertised as new, but I guess it's maybe been used once or twice, however, its in very good condition and also the later type

Take a tip, remove it when not in use, they get nicked for fun.
Yes they can be removed without the key and your local scallies will know all about the resale value of them and will probably be well versed in half inching them.

Yeah theres no way it'll be left in place when not in use
Someone who lives just down the road from me has had their detachable tow bar fitted non stop for the last five years, I'm amazed its not been borrowed yet!

After much back and forth thinking about cutting the mesh out of my dog guard I decided to go for it. I wanted to do this for two reasons...........incase my boot latch fails with my dog in there, meaning it'd be a ball ache to get her out, and secondly so I can carry longer items in the D3 without needing to remove the guard.
I usually carry my waffle boards ratchet strapped to the guard like so

After measuring the boards I realised if I cut all the mesh away my boards will fall through the hole! So I decided to leave a strip of mesh either side for the boards to sit against. If they bug me in the future then I'll just cut them off! I cut the mesh away with a grinder, ground the remaining stubs flat then gave it a couple of coats of matt black.
Not the greatest of pictures but you get the idea!

Looks good
But are the waffle boards going back in the same place? Thanks
I carry one of these bad boys on my keys

In the case of an emergency I'd drop the rear seats, cut through the back of the ratchet strap and push the boards out of the way. A bit faffy but easier than removing the guard from the back seats!
I'm also in two minds if the waffle boards are going back in or not

New reverse and sidelight bulbs purchased from AF and fitted a couple of weeks ago. These bulbs are bright, especially the reversing bulbs.........they're insane! The sidelights are now a nice white colour to match the headlights, not a dim yellow anymore!
The pictures don't do them justice but you can get an idea of what they are like!

I didn't dress the trim as the instructions stated it needed 24 hours without getting wet and as you can see it rained in a lot less than that!

Thanks mate
It's a nice sense of achievement isn't it? What products did you use? I found that I have sticky paint on the D3 which made it a nightmare to try and correct, but its 50 times better than before so i'm happy! Pictures don't really do it enough justice either!
