No idea about the number 4 wire... never thought of connecting it to permanent negative. But using your AUX battery for permanent +/- is not an issue. Mine is set up that way too.  Dennis

Anyway noticed the DRL's flash on and off when the batteries are on charge? I'm sure I read somewhere on here it had happened to someone else? Not sure if it's just when you have the dim function connected or in general? D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo
